The ‘Better with Friends’ walks are aimed at anyone looking to have FUN, meet new people and make genuine connections and friendships. Whether you find you have; outgrown old friendships, are new to Brisbane, are too introverted to meet new people unassisted, have no idea where to meet new friends, feel isolated after becoming a parent, or you just want to add some new friends to your social circle, this morning walk and talk will be perfect for you.
Ideally this event works best if you attend solo, as this will ensure you are open and fully present to the possibility of all the new friendships that are presented to you. However if you would like to attend with a friend, that is no problem.
Your host will be there to welcome you and settle your nerves as we assemble and get ready for the walk. We will walk at a leisurely pace on the designated path along the river. Your host will encourage you to move around and swap places so that you have the opportunity to talk to a lot of different people during the course of the morning. During the walk there will be time to talk and mingle with your fellow walkers, at a casual, relaxed pace.
Please note if a run is more your thing, you can always run on ahead and save the talking for afterwards.
We will aim to walk/run for approximately 1 hour and then finish the morning with a chat over a coffee/tea/smoothie.
*Please note any drinks will need to be purchased at the participants own cost.
**No pets allowed
